Spreading the Love

  Spreading the Love!

This week I challenge you to do 3 nice things for someone else! There are an infinite number of ways that you can spread the love and show other people random acts of kindness. This is not only beneficial for the other person, but it will have a positive influence on you as well. It is hard to match the feeling of helping someone else without expecting anything in return.

Can’t think of anything? Here are a couple suggestions:

o Pay for the person’s meal behind you, the next time you go through the drive thru
o  If you haven’t been on a date for awhile, plan a surprise date for your significant other
o  Call an old friend and focus the conversation on how they are doing
o  Tell someone that you love them
o  Send flowers to someone who needs them
o  Volunteer at a community center, hospital, or youth services
o  Give a homeless man/women a skill that they can use

The amount of things you can do is only limited by your imagination. This is serious feel-good stuff and you will find that showing others that someone cares, can bring a lot of happiness into your own life as well.

As always, share your ideas and thoughts in the comments below!

  1. I would recommend trying to come up with your 3 ideas early in the week. The week can disappear quickly during this challenge and you may find yourself thinking back after 6 days thinking, “hmmm… what did I do this week that might count.” Have fun with this one!
