How This Site Can Work For You

If you have stumbled upon this site I can only assume that you are the inquisitive type of person. I might also be able to assume that you are interested in living a happy and fulfilling life. Perhaps these are easy assumptions to make though because they point at the fundamental driving forces of existence. Striving for happiness and self improvement are in all of us to a certain degree … but what some of us may be missing is a little inspiration or excitement to get us back on track! Searching For Your Zen may not provide the answers to life’s happiness or show you how to live with purpose; but I would hope that it inspires you to finding your own happiness. If you are new to the site and are unsure where to go now, check out some of the links below … and remember, I love hearing from others and sharing ideas and inspiration! Please feel free to shoot me an email, leave me a message in any comment boxes, or join me through social media! — Cheers & Happy Travels – Dan

Just wanted to say what a great blog. Amber and I live in phoenix and are looking to travel with our new travel trailer and leave the corporate world behind. Its been a slow process with a lot of worries and questions on how to do this but we keep moving forward with our dream. I was about to start a blog so I could document and share from the beginning and while searching name ideas I found your blog and just wanted to express how impressed I was with your story and information you have shared. Reading this snapped me back to knowing there ARE people out there with similar thoughts and dreams that make it happen. Thank you!

      Hey there Tom and Amber,
Thanks for the comment! It’s encouraging for me as well, to hear that there are people like you out there!
My parents actually live in Phoenix and I’ll be driving through this summer! I am motivated by your ambitions to leave the corporate world and chase your dreams. It seems like today, leaving the 9-5 has become a bit of a movement of sorts. I think it’s healthier for people to do what makes them happy and have more time to enjoy life (NOW) rather than working our whole lives for a “good retirement.”
In regards to your “worries and questions” I might say my own philosophy is this … A little bit of worrying is a good thing, it keeps you on your toes; but things are never as bad or scary as they seem and I’ve never regretted doing something that scared me at first :)
Happy travels and I would love to hear how things go for you two. If you set up a blog let me know … I’d love to check it out.
